Who Is at Risk

Screening should be considered by men (ages 65-75) who have ever smoked, as well as men or women (ages 65-75) with a family history of AAA. Age is not the primary risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Family genetics and lifestyle choices affect individuals differently. If you feel that you are at risk for AAA, talk with your family physician or one of the specialists in the screening directory to determine the appropriateness of a screening.
